"Ganjam" which is a face of "Odisha" & the most populated District of "South Odisha". Where the people's from all places of south Odisha depends upon the district. The main city of Ganjam district is "Berhampur", where castes, creed and discrimination doesn't matter because it is the city of "Brotherhood" and the people of Berhampur used to call each other as "Bhainna".The word "Bhainna" symbolises the "Brotherhood" and the relation with each other, which unites the Berhampur as well as the total "Ganjam"district in good times as well as in bad times. Good times like "Thakurani Yatra'' and bad times like Disaster of "cyclone's. But unfortunately time doesn't remain same, and after the good time there is always a bad time which is always waiting for new challenge.
So, during bad time there are many Cyclones that had affected the Ganjam district many times like a "Hungry Monster". some of them are "SUPER CYCLONE IN 1999","SEVERE CYCLONE" named as "PHAILIN" ON OCTOBER 12,2013",then a "CYCLONE" named as "TITLI" ON 2018".Which has completely affected the "Ganjam" district which cannot be imagine. Because of the "BROTHER HOOD '' relation of the people with each other in "Ganjam" as well as in Berhampur cannot lay down their "SELF CONFIDENCE" as well as ''SELF MOTIVATION'' against the cyclone that has played many disasters role.
After 1999 "Super Cyclone ", on 2013,October 12 at the time of "DUSSHERRA PUJA" a severe cyclone came named as "Phailin" which affected the ganjam financialy and economically as well. The people of Ganjam are strong enough to face the tragedy of cyclone. During the period of tragedy of cyclone, there are so many losses like many lost their house, some loses their family. After the Cyclone hitting the Coastal region of South Odisha at Gopalpur beach, the wind started blowing upto the speed of approximatey 180 to 220 km per hour which cannot be imagine. The whole Berhampur city and ganjam district has been destroyed. The electric poles, the big towers has completely broken and laid down which cannot be imagine.
The railway stations were broken all are helpless. But the "Govt. of Odisha"took initiative step and evacuated more than 550,000 people which is India's biggest evacuation in 23 years. Because of the cooperation of people of ganjam and as well as self confidence and self motivation, they have survived upto almost one month without current, as electric poles are broken and telecome towers are broken, due to which no signals were receiving.
The day after day gone after cyclone PHAILIN, people survive more and more. The relief has been continuously given by State Govt. for the releif of people. The colleges, institutions has been damaged. By the time the problem of electricity, food has been resolved. Then, after BAD TIMES there is a good times by the grace of GOD,Berhampur City and the ganjam district has rebuilt again. But the pain that has given to the people that cannot be forgottable.
But unfortunately in 2019 on the month of may a SUPER CYCLONE came named FANI,As cyclone Fani has to Land fall at Gopalpur sea,but unfortunately
it moves towards the puri coastal, which has damaged puri, bhubaneswar, cuttack, khurda almost.so, for the humanity we have the responsibility towards the affected people in Cyclone,people don't have money for food,shelter.So, my humble request to all my vistiors and viewers to make their contribution for the affected people, by donating money in the website of CHEIF MINISTERS RELEIF FUND.
